Vernon Cleo Perry, 75, of Bement, welder died Saturday April 13, 1996. Cleo was born in Marion County, Illinois on April 12, 1921, the son of Ralph Ervin and Mary Murtle "Mulvaney" Perry. He was a World War II Army Veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Annabell, of Bement; sons, Arnold of Jacksonville, Carl of Bever Dam, VA. Merle of Champaign, Jeff Perry of Decatur; daughter Nancy Haynes of Clinton; sisters, Beulah Veteto of Loogootee, Maxine McCarty of Deterich; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, six brothers, and one sister.
Services were held at 1 pm. Wednesday in the Roux-Wright Funeral Home, Bement. Visitation: 6 to 8 pm. Tuesday, Burial: Bement Cemetery with Military Services, Memorials: Donor's Choice.
